Interprofessional team experience Participate in an interprofessional program or program or project designed to improve care, change practice, and/or provide education. Include the following information: 1-Describe the type of team and purpose of the interprofessional team experience in which you participated (primary work team, leadership team, hoc team) 2-Identify the membership of the team. What was the role of each discipline on the interprofessional team? 3-Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using an interprofessional team to accomplish the group’s objectives. I had the opportunity to be part of a primary work team and observe the team members collaborating. My clinic facility was chosen to participate in a phase III High-risk self-collection study. The objective of the study was to check the efficacy of a device that the patients can use to perform a self-collection to detect HPV. These were patients who were referred for colposcopy due to abnormal pap smear and the presence of HPV during their examination. The team consisted of physicians, nurse practitioners, counselors, and pathologists. We followed a protocol for these patients. When the patient presented to the clinic for an abnormal pap smear and positive HPV presence in their pap smears, they were counseled fully regarding the study. The ones who chose not to participate in the study went on to have their colposcopies. We then followed their pathology results, and the patients underwent necessary treatments and follow-ups. The patients who decided to participate in the study were counseled fully regarding the study and they signed the necessary consents. Then they were given the collection gadgets along with a set of descriptions that they were asked to follow in order to collect a vaginal swab. These were then collected and sent to the study sponsors for further evaluation of high-risk HPV. The patients then underwent colposcopy just like other patients and Our team then followed these patients closely for their results and they underwent follow-ups and treatment. The treatment ranged from cryotherapy and biopsy. These patients would get follow-ups after their procedures for post-procedure care and pathology results after those procedures. Once the collections were completed The team then followed the efficacy and the results of the self-collected specimen. The data was then reviewed to evaluate and compare the results of repeat pap smear and HPV as well as the results of the biopsy
