3. Identify genetic and environmental risk factors contributing to the disorder, including the
cultural and societal context of the disorder.
4. State the specific DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and symptoms.
5. Describe how the disorder chosen differs from similar disorders (for example, bipolar I & II,
histrionic & borderline personality disorders, Alzheimer’s & Parkinson’s disorders, etc.).
6. Compare and contrast the prevalence amongst different genders, cultures, socioeconomic
classes, and ethnicities.
7. Identify and describe different treatment modalities and therapeutic applications.
8. Incorporate at least 3 scientific research articles to bolster the paper, and can include material
on current research findings, suggestions for future research, alternative/novel therapies,
genetic influence, and implications in the nursing/medical field.
